Is lying to kids about the Easter Bunny or Santa a bad idea?

 I do not think that it is a bad thing to keep some fantasy in kids’ lives, while they are young enough to enjoy it. Once they are old enough figure it out, then the truth should be shared, so that they do not put two and two together and then think that you think that they are stupid.

I think that this is for the parents as much, if not more than it is for the children. I loved setting up the presents around the tree on Christmas Eve. I enjoyed hiding the plastic eggs, and putting together Easter baskets for them. It is indeed better to give then receive. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the happiness that they seem to get from the things that I did for them.
I think that it is harmless to tell these white lies, as long as it is handled in such a way that they do not scare the kids, and that the child hears it from you before it is too late.

The unveiling of these fantasy creatures should be handled carefully as well.

Do you believe in reincarnation? That is a tough one, but very funny that it is 'assigned' on the anniversary of my first marriage... I think that there are different versions of things all through life, stages. So, there are different stages of relationships, the honeymoon, the comfort zone, and finally, using the toilet with the door open... For example. Why can't there be different phases or stages of life? I have heard one theory of reincarnation, being that you live this life to learnt, and in the next life, you learn what you didn't get in the last life. Once a scrounger, always a scrounger

Robert's last day of freshman year is next a Wednesday, that alone is crazy, but it made me remember something. The last day of my freshman year, I actually wanted to go to school. I said good bye to the teachers I liked, but after that, a friend of mine and I went through the halls, and came upon tons of lockers that people had not bothered to clean out... So there were binders and paper and more all over for the taking. I remember lots of loose leaf paper, and I took home as much as I could carry. Now, was that because I am, at heart, a scrounger? Or was it my love of school and office supplies? When I was in 6th grade, same thing, went to the last day, and came home with 'stuff'. However, this time it was supplies AND art projects people had not taken home, including GIANT dice.
