Do parties and crowds fill you with energy or send you scurrying for peace and quiet?
Depends on the event. A party where I know people and have people with me that I know, someone I have brought, then I am OK. Not knowing anyone, and having a 'date' that doesn't know anyone either makes me want to leave.
Saturday night my daughter/'date' and I went to my bosses St. Patrick's Day Party. She didn't know anyone, and I only knew a few people, so we did not stay long. We would not have anyways, because people were drinking and it was already late. But, not knowing anyone made it easier to be OK with leaving.
When I used to live in Kentucky, we had 'gatherings' at my house all the time. My turf, my friends, my comfort zone.
My wife and I want to a holiday party in December. It was a family party, so we knew some of the people, but her cousins know A LOT of people that we didn't know. Having my 'bestie' by my side made the awkward parts easier.
So, yeah, like I said from the start. Depends on the situation.
