The Artist's Eye
Os there a painting or sculpture that you are drawn to? What does it say to you? Describe how it makes you feel?

I love Starry Night. I like the dark colors and the hints of light that the stars give. I am not sure why I am so drawn to that painting, I have always been. I got lucky and I got my very own Martiss version of it. Painted on wood, hanging in my living room. I love that painting. I love the dark blues and occasional greens. That is my favorite painting.

I also love Crests and Family Shields. I love the Olde English curls and frilly but not frilly aspects. I love the strong bold colors there too.

I think that I know why I love Starry Night. I love the way that it makes me feel like I could be there under that sky on that hill enjoying that beautiful stars in that beautiful sky.

Do you believe in reincarnation? That is a tough one, but very funny that it is 'assigned' on the anniversary of my first marriage... I think that there are different versions of things all through life, stages. So, there are different stages of relationships, the honeymoon, the comfort zone, and finally, using the toilet with the door open... For example. Why can't there be different phases or stages of life? Once a scrounger, always a scrounger

Robert's last day of freshman year is next a Wednesday, that alone is crazy, but it made me remember something. The last day of my freshman year, I actually wanted to go to school. I said good bye to the teachers I liked, but after that, a friend of mine and I went through the halls, and came upon tons of lockers that people had not bothered to clean out... So there were binders and paper and more all over for the taking. I remember lots of loose leaf paper, and I took home as much as I could carry. Now, was that because I am, at heart, a scrounger? Or was it my love of school and office supplies? When I was in 6th grade, same thing, went to the last day, and came home with 'stuff'. However, this time it was supplies AND art projects people had not taken home, including GIANT dice.
