STATE OF YOUR YEAR
Write up a mid-year "State of My Year" Post.
As I write this I sit here holding the hand of my dying grandmother. That is how this year is going.
Now, as I ride the bus to work, I think about the classes that I have taken and aced, and the classes yet to come. I learned, but there is still more to learn. A friend told me that once the education but bites you, you're bitten for life. I believe it!
This year, just this past week, one of my children moved out. I am not completely confident on how this will turn out, but I have done what I can to prepare her, and I have told her that we think this is a bad idea, so it is on her shoulders and in the universe's hands now.
I started loosing weight, and I was proud of myself, but the last few weeks I was not walking in the morning, and to add insult to injury, I was grabbing breakfast on the way to work most mornings. I was using Nana's illness as an excuse to be bad. Now, I am walking again in the morning, and the weight that I put back on will come back off. It will be a process. I have struggled with my weight since I had my first child. So I know that I probably always will.
Speaking of my first child, she turned 21 yesterday! She came over last night, she had stopped to get a bottle of wine, she was irritated that she didn't get carded!
The youngest cant wait to start school again, I can't wait for that either. I dislike the summer, mostly because it is too hot, but also because there is much less structure. He doesn't like it and neither do I frankly. I am glad that he got to go to Tech for the time that he did.
Well, I think that is all. The first half of the year has had ups and downs, but I am hopeful for the second half, and the things to come.
There will always be challenges, there always have, but as in the past, we will just keep going until we get past them!
