MIRROR MIRROR
Finish the sentence: " When I look in the mirror, I... "
Wonder where the time went. I can remember getting ready for school in the eleventh grade, showering in the morning and putting on eye make up, and walking across the UNM campus to get to the Lomas bus to take me to Manzano. Now, I get up, get showered and dressed, no make up, walk across the golf course, to get on the Lomas bus to go to work, ironically getting off across the street from where I got on all those mornings ago...
I don't really know what I thought my life would be like at this point when I was that age. I can't ever remember having my own dream... I knows mother said I should be a lawyer, and I think now, looking back, that I just took that and ran with it. I have no love of the law, I never did. I guess that means even then she recognized my love of arguing? I'll never live that one down...lol.
I just know that I didn't want to be at home, hence the foolish things that I jumped into? Alas, everything happens for a reason, and I would not trade my children for the world...
So, looking in the mirror? I wonder where the time went. I wonder if this is what forty is supposed to look like? Do I look my age, or older?
Mostly I just smile. I usually feel like it is not just me looking at me in the mirror, even though it is just my eyes looking at me. I also usually feel like it is not just me looking back...
That might be an entirely different blog though...
I think that I will start writing down my own 'prompts' and they pop into my head, and write about those when I don't like, or am not inspired by the prompts on my list.
