The little things - blog about something small, often overlooked - that makes all the difference to you.
Ok, I would have to say it is the smell of trees. Evergreens, or I guess it could be explained as the smell of the forest, though I am not particularly fond of the forest. I like it, I just don't love it.
I love the way that the air smells when I walk through the golf course in the morning on the way to the bus. As long as there have not been any mad skunks around ;)
Maybe the thing that makes all the difference in any given day is smell.
The smell of the trees in the golf course.
The smell of Twister's cooking bacon, LOTS of bacon.
The smell of a mad skunk, not to close and not to recent either.
The smell that is distinctive to a classic Volkswagen beetle, that meant my neighbor was home.
The smell of the air in my gramma's house and backyard. A smell that is unique to her home and yard alone.
The smell of my gramma.
The smell of a small craft store.
The smell of a small stationary store.
The smell of a small antique shoppe. That old dust smell.
The smell of leather, not like that you sicko - LOL.
The smell of my lotion, the smell of face-wash.
The smell of cologne that is familiar but I can't place why.
Smells take me and bring me to places all their own, and separate from where I am in that exact moment.
Some smells have less happy memories attached to them, moth balls is one, they remind me of my mother's mother. Oh, no, I don't like that...
I love smells, most smells that is...
Thanks for reading
