I'd Like To Thank My Cats
You are about to get an award, either one that already exists or a new one just for you. What would that award be, why are you being honored? What will you say in your award speech?

I think that I would be getting an award for just being me. The things that others see and on see as unique to me. I think that maybe everyone needs one of these. I think that just telling someone 'good job for x' is kinda the same thing. Even if not worded as such. How about someone drawing attention to my patch covered backpack and asking me about the patches. Liking the patch I made myself and telling me so, that was a little award.

Mine would be for the many things that I like about myself. Today I have a playlist on that includes Poison, Tool and The All American Rejects. Odd, yes, but it keeps my head bobbing a little on the bus while I blog.

Or my crazy socks...I wear crazy socks every work day, if I am wearing a dress, and you can see them, most days I get a comment or two. That is rewarding.

When I get these compliments, or even just double takes, I say thank you. What else is there to do?

So, award for uniqueness, and I would say thank you, but we all have it in us, of course yours is different from mine because if it wasn't neither of us would be unique! I would thank those that love me and help me grow and be confident enough to be unique. Sometimes being unique is not easy.

Do you believe in reincarnation? That is a tough one, but very funny that it is 'assigned' on the anniversary of my first marriage... I think that there are different versions of things all through life, stages. So, there are different stages of relationships, the honeymoon, the comfort zone, and finally, using the toilet with the door open... For example. Why can't there be different phases or stages of life? Once a scrounger, always a scrounger

Robert's last day of freshman year is next a Wednesday, that alone is crazy, but it made me remember something. The last day of my freshman year, I actually wanted to go to school. I said good bye to the teachers I liked, but after that, a friend of mine and I went through the halls, and came upon tons of lockers that people had not bothered to clean out... So there were binders and paper and more all over for the taking. I remember lots of loose leaf paper, and I took home as much as I could carry. Now, was that because I am, at heart, a scrounger? Or was it my love of school and office supplies? When I was in 6th grade, same thing, went to the last day, and came home with 'stuff'. However, this time it was supplies AND art projects people had not taken home, including GIANT dice.
